Spring Field Trips
The standard Springfield trip is designed for Kindergarten to 3rd grade students and focuses on habitat. Students are at the center for four hours rotating through three environmental hands on lessons and lunch you bring.
Rotation 1: Reptiles and Ambhibians
Rotation 2: A Buzz into Action game: Pollinator Relay
Rotation 3: Nature hike through the Discovery Woods
Lunch is also a rotation falling somewhere in between the lessons. Each rotation is between .35- .45 minutes.
Fall Field Trips
The standard Fall field trip is designed for Kindergarten to 3rd grade students and focuses on migration and weather patterns. Students are at the center for four hours rotating through three environmental hands on lessons and lunch you bring.
Rotation 1: Our Aviary - Live Birds of Prey Hawks, Owls, Eagles
Rotation 2: Monarch Migration game
Rotation 3: Monarch Butterfly tagging and release with a walk through the milkweed patch looking for caterpillars and insects
