Bird and Butterfly Counts

Several times a year groups of people spend 24 hours counting every bird or butterfly they can find in that time period.  Each count covers different areas.  The butterfly and Christmas bird counts stay inside a designated count circle that includes the main part of the county.  The Mid-winter and May bird counts cover the entire county.
